A useful glossary
In this glossary, you will learn about some useful words to know in policing. I am a second year student in Police Technology at Ahuntsic College, and I will certainly have to use these words in the future. There are 20 words in this glossary. I found each of them with my knowledge, some of my books, and internet. Also, all the definitions come from Google. With this glossary, everyone can learn the words, practice their pronunciation, see what it looks like, and see an example of how they can be use. Moreover, you can see the translation of the words in French. Finally, this glossary is especially for students in Police Technology, but can be used by every curious people. Have a good read!

- A person, or group of people who are charged with, or on trial for a crime.
- Example: The accused is Orestes, who has killed his mother Clytemnestra.

- A claim or piece of evidence that one was elsewhere when an act, typically a criminal one, is alleged to have taken place.
- Example: She made up an alibi for why she was late.

- The action of seizing someone to take into custody.
- Example: Then, came the arrest, and with it the fear of being questioned by the police.
